The Kwaremont Trail starts at the Kluisbos recreation grounds in Kluisbergen and uses the climbs of the Flemish Ardennes you know from cycling — the Oude Kwaremont first among them, and on the longest distance the Paterberg is added. So you also run on cobbles, which in trail shoes feels different from how it looks. The four distances rise from 11 kilometres with 340 metres of climbing to 42 with over a thousand. Technically the course is barely demanding; the difficulty lies entirely in the climbing. Every finisher gets a Kwaremont blonde, with an alcohol-free option. The event is organised by Trailrun.be.
