Krokodille Run

About the race

The Krokodille Run sets off from Camping Mijn Plezier on the Duinenweg in Middelkerke and combines stretches of road with dune paths. The afternoon opens with the kids runs over 500 and 1000 metres on the campsite itself, followed straight away by the prize-giving on the spot. An hour and a half later the main distances start: 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 kilometres, spaced finely enough that almost everyone finds a distance that fits. The soft dune sand makes the route harder than the kilometre count suggests. The prize-giving for the main race takes place later in the evening in a village brasserie, which gives the day a distinctly sociable close.
