This trail shows that Kortrijk holds a surprising amount of greenery and elevation. The start and finish are at the De Kaai fitness centre, and the field splits immediately after the start: the short six-kilometre loop passes the Kleiputten, an old clay extraction area now turned nature reserve, then the university campuses and the Stadsgroen Vlasakker, finishing through Kasteelpark 't Hooghe with its rose garden. The second loop of twelve kilometres takes in the Stadsgroen Marionetten and the Kennedybos woods. String both loops together and you reach eighteen kilometres. There is no time limit, so walking is fine too; those who do want to race can test themselves on a few Strava segments.
