The Kleitse Kermisjogging belongs to the fair of Kleit, part of the municipality of Maldegem, and sets off from the De Berken sports hall. The evening is built entirely around age: it opens at five o'clock with the preschoolers over 250 metres, works up through 500 metres for the years after that and 1000 metres for the oldest primary schoolers, and ends at half past seven with the main start. There, over-twelves take on 2.5 kilometres and adults choose 5, 7.5 or 10 kilometres. There is no need to enter in advance: you simply sign up at the sports hall, where the showers and changing rooms are as well. All participants are in the running for prizes in kind.
