The Jogging de Hamois is an evening race in the Condroz, starting on the Rue d'Hubinne. There are two distances: 6 kilometres with around 90 metres of climbing and 15.5 kilometres with about 180. The long one goes off a quarter of an hour before the short one, so both fields come in at roughly the same time. The Condroz is not flat country: the rolling plateaus between the Meuse and the Ourthe give both distances a steady alternation of climb and descent, without a single hard ascent anywhere. That makes this a village race in which you have to ration your pace rather than hold it.
