The Hoevejogging is run in Wiekevorst, a village of Heist-op-den-Berg, on a Friday in July. There are three distances — 4, 7 and 11 kilometres — so you need not choose between a short loop and a real effort. Before them the children run their own races, grouped by year of birth, and there is a separate event for athletes with a disability. You can still enter on the day; you collect your number after paying. The race is one of the ten in the Heists Joggingcriterium, so anyone following the standings ends up here sooner or later.
