Halve van Haarlem

About the race

The Halve van Haarlem has the Grote Markt as start and finish, with the Bavo church as the backdrop both going out and coming in. The half marathon leaves the city and takes in the dunes and greenery west of Haarlem; the 10 and the 5 kilometres stay closer to the centre. Bands and DJs line the route, which on the narrow stretches through the old town draws audibly more spectators than an average road race. Alongside them there are a KidsRun, a Kabouterloop for the very youngest and a BusinessRun. The half marathon usually fills up well in advance. The event is organised by SportSupport Kennemerland.
