The half marathon 'Rapper dan een Ezel' has been running through Kuurne for over forty editions, and does so in the evening: at half past seven the field sets off on the Kortrijksestraat for a short warm-up lap and then four laps of about five kilometres through the centre. That means passing the same crowd four times, which on a half marathon makes a noticeable difference in the final lap. The finish is on the market square by the town hall. Alongside it there is the Ezelsjogging over 2, 4 or 6 kilometres, for which the Kuurne schools enter. The event is organised by Joggingclub Kuurne.
