Halve marathon Poppel

About the race

The Halve Marathon Poppel starts at the clubhouse of football club KFC Poppel on the Steenweg op Baarle and heads from there into the woods around the village. Three distances are on offer: 5 kilometres, 10.5 kilometres and the half marathon over 21.1 kilometres. The course lies largely in the countryside around Poppel, a village in the municipality of Ravels close to the Dutch border, which gives the race a quiet and green character. Children have a free kids run over 400 and 800 metres. The football club organises the event itself and provides changing rooms with showers and ample parking at the grounds. Entry fees are kept deliberately low, which keeps the race accessible to seasoned runners and first-timers tackling a longer distance alike.
