The Great Half Antwerpen is an officially measured half marathon on Linkeroever, with start, finish and event village at the Kastanjedreef. The course is flat and entirely on hardened surface while staying strikingly green; across the water you look out on the Antwerp skyline for almost the whole race. That combination makes it a deliberate choice for anyone chasing a personal best or preparing an autumn marathon, rather than for anyone wanting to see the city itself. There is one distance, with no shorter variants beside it. The race belongs to the Great Half Series, a set of half marathons for which you earn a separate medal by completing them all within three years.
