Gaasterland Trail

About the race

The Gaasterland Trail takes you through the woods, along bridle paths and past the fields of the Frisian Gaasterland region; 2026 marks the ninth edition. Start and finish are at Manege Gaasterland in Harich. The 10 km is a good entry point into trail running and is almost entirely unpaved, with singletracks and gently undulating terrain. The 24 km is at least 95 percent unpaved and has short climbs. The Grutte Pier Ultra of 50 km starts as early as 8.00 a.m., is run on a GPS track and earns UTMB index points; only this distance has timing. Children run a free kids trail. Bring your own cup, as there are no plastic cups along the route.
