The Festirun sets off from the Rue Camille Charlier in Flawinne, a village of Namur. The morning opens at quarter past ten with two children's races of 1 and 3 kilometres, after which the 10 kilometres goes at quarter to eleven and the 5 at eleven. The climbing scales with the distance — 60 metres on the five, 120 on the ten — which means the course is not flat but not hard either. The whole thing is deliberately simple: four starts within three quarters of an hour, all from the same point.
