Dwars door Geel is a fully paved running event through the centre of Geel, starting on the Markt. The programme begins with kids’ runs over 100 metres, 500 metres, 1 km and 1 mile, followed by 5 km and 10 km races for older youth and adults. With its compact city course, paved surface and cooperation between Hetric Geel, the local sports service and the athletics club, the event feels local, accessible and easy to recognise.
