The Dobbeloop is the monthly recreational race run of the Nootdorpse IJsclub around the Dobbeplas between Pijnacker and Nootdorp. Start and finish are at the clubhouse on Oudeweg 74, after which the course follows mostly car-free asphalt paths clockwise around the lake. Children start separately over 750 metres or 1,500 metres; afterwards the 3.2, 5, 10 and 15 kilometres set off together, with the three longest distances made up of one, two or three 5-kilometre laps. The setup is simple and club-based, with on-site registration, bicycle guidance, arrows and staffed posts. That makes the Dobbeloop suitable for runners who want an easy way to join in, as well as for those using a flat lap to run a focused pace.
