About the race

Coast Run is an evening coastal race in Westende, part of the municipality of Middelkerke, starting and finishing at the car park on Strandlaan. The route seeks out the dunes and the beach around Sint-Laureins. The 6 kilometres stays deliberately accessible — a first race or a warm-up — while the 10 kilometres crosses the dune areas of Westende and Lombardsijde, the beach and the hinterland, and counts towards the Loopcriterium van de Kust, the coastal series. The evening opens with a free youth run of roughly one thousand metres at 6.30 p.m., followed by the 6 kilometres at 7 p.m. and the 10 kilometres at 8 p.m. Bibs and late entries are handled from 5 p.m. at the De Calidris bar.
