The Chaamloop has revolved around the Dorpsstraat of Chaam for close to forty years, where the start and finish lie and where the crowd stays put all afternoon. The programme builds up from the Berenloop and the youth runs over 500, 1000 and 1500 metres to the 5 kilometres, the 10 and the half marathon. That 10 kilometres has the strongest field of the day: it doubles as the Brabant championship, which draws regional front-runners to the village you would not see at an ordinary local race. Around it the character stays village-sized, with the countryside around Chaam as the setting. The event is organised by Stichting Chaamloop.
