Aterstaose Jogging

About the race

Aterstaose Jogging is a family-friendly run in Tongeren's Achterstatie neighbourhood, starting in Beemdstraat and carrying a clearly local character. The event offers children's runs of 400 m and 1 km, plus 5.2 km and 10.4 km for older youth and adults. The course heads towards De Kevie and combines streets with a large share of gravel and green surroundings, keeping the race accessible while giving it more of a nature feel than a standard city loop. The 25th edition in 2026 also puts charity at the centre: the organisation donates an amount per participant, doubled by Lions Tongeren. That keeps the jogging event sporty, family-oriented and firmly rooted in the neighbourhood.
