Trail de Saint-Martin Balâtre

About the race

Trail de Saint-Martin Balâtre is a local trail day based at the Château de Balâtre in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, organized by Les Amis de Saint-Martin Balâtre. On 30 May 2026, the programme combines trail distances of 7, 15, 23 and 33 kilometres with children's runs and nordic walking. The routes follow roads, field tracks and sentiers around the villages, with the adult courses mainly on unpaved terrain and climbing up to 700 metres of elevation gain on the longest distance. The event deliberately keeps a village-like and practical feel: clear waymarking, aid stations, a personal cup or soft flask, and something to drink or eat at the château after the finish. That makes this trail a good fit for runners looking for a small-scale Walloon nature race without losing the friendliness of the village.
