L'Assaut du Maquisard is an outdoor event in Theux-La Reid that brings trail running, walking, cycling and duathlon into the same Ardennes setting. The day is centred on the HEPL campus on Rue Haftay 21, from where participants head into the area around La Reid, the Maquisard and the woods near Theux. On 13 June 2026, the programme includes trail distances of 5, 13, 25 and 45 kilometres, alongside walks, cycling routes and combined bike-and-run formats. That mix makes the event unusually broad: recreational walkers can choose shorter routes, trail runners get real elevation and duathletes can turn it into a heavier challenge. The name fits the character: not a flat city event, but a firm day outdoors with plenty of variety and a clear link to the relief of the region.
