Jogging des Hayeffes

About the race

The Jogging des Hayeffes, also known as the Corrida des Hayeffes, is run from the Collège Notre-Dame des Hayeffes in Mont-Saint-Guibert. The school grounds on the Rue des Hayeffes serve as start, finish and gathering point all at once, and that explains who carries the race: the festival committee and the parents' association of that same school. There are two distances, 5 and 10 kilometres. Because the organisation comes out of the school community, the crowd along the route is largely from the same village — this is an evening where a school and a neighbourhood coincide rather than a race you turn up to anonymously.
