The Jogging de Gentinnes starts at the village school on the Rue des Maïeurs in Gentinnes, a village belonging to Chastre. The morning opens with free children's races over 800 and 1800 metres, then the walkers head off, and at eleven the two joggings of 6.7 and 12.7 kilometres set out. The course runs through greenery between woods and field tracks, but the organisers warn explicitly that it stays open to traffic: paying attention is part of the deal. The race is carried by the local scout group together with the school, and a bar with sausage rolls and regional beer stands by the school building. Entering in advance costs less than signing up at the start.
