The Grand Prix des Sylves sets off from the Rue Henri Pochez in Dour and offers two distances: 6 kilometres with 46 metres of climbing and 14.37 kilometres with 123. The course mixes roads, fields and strips of woodland, which gives it more profile than a flat town jogging without ever becoming truly technical. A walk sets off in the morning as well, so the event has something for non-runners too. The Dour sports grounds provide changing rooms and parking, and times are recorded electronically. The race counts towards the Challenge des Belles du Haut-Pays, a regional competition that brings together dozens of races and walks in a single season.
