The Foulées d'Eole set off from the village school on the Rue Charles Wantiez in Elouges, a village belonging to Dour. There are two running distances, a short one of around five kilometres and a long one of about eleven, alongside a walk that leaves half an hour before the runners. The course is no flat village lap: paved stretches alternate with tracks, woodland sections and short climbs, so the pace keeps changing. The race is organised by a local association from Dour and counts towards the Challenge des Belles du Haut-Pays, the regional series that each year bundles twenty-eight races and as many walks.
