Feanrun

About the race

The Feanrun sets off at two in the afternoon from the Lindegracht in the centre of Heerenveen and runs a single distance: four English miles, or 6.4 kilometres. The course stays in town and passes through the Abe Lenstra Stadium along the way, which gives the race a moment of its own — you come out onto the pitch where normally only football is played. Individual runners, companies and clubs all cover the same route, so the field is a mixed one. The proceeds go to local charities, which gives the race a civic character alongside the sporting one.
