Dwars door Zulte runs through and around the three villages of the municipality: Zulte, Olsene and Machelen on the Leie. The morning opens with a start for athletes with a disability, after which the half marathon sets off and, half an hour later, the 5 and 10 kilometres. The race office is in the Vrije Basisschool in Olsene, where you collect your race number or can still enter from eight o'clock, and where changing rooms and showers are available. The race is carried by the local jogging club in cooperation with the municipal sports council, which gives the whole thing the character of a community sports event rather than a commercial race.
