Dwars Door Grijsloke is a running classic in Anzegem that has been held every year on the last Saturday of August since 1981 and now counts more than forty editions. The start and finish are on the Gijzelbrechtegemstraat, in the hamlet of Grijsloke. Three distances are on offer: 7, 13 and 19 kilometres, which serves recreational and seasoned runners alike. The course seeks out the country roads and farm tracks around the village, in the rolling landscape between Anzegem and the Scheldt. The long tradition and the fixed date make the race a familiar close to the summer for runners from the area.
