Dorpsloop Nieuwehorne

About the race

The Dorpsloop Nieuwehorne starts and finishes at Sportpark Udiros on the Master van Dijkpaad, in the middle of this Frisian village. There are three distances: 5, 10 and 15 kilometres. The start times run down from long to short at five-minute intervals, so the 15 kilometres goes first and the fields do not get in each other's way along the route. Children have shorter distances of their own. Having the sports park as start and finish gives the day a relaxed village feel: participants, supporters and volunteers gather there all afternoon. The routes head out into the countryside around Oude- and Nieuwehorne.
